What you’ll need:</strong >

– 2 cups PVA glue

– 2 cups warm water

– Food colouring

– 3 tablespoons Borax

– 2/3 cup warm water

Instructions:

1. Mix the glue and warm water together with a spatula.

2. Add food colouring.

3. Mix the Borax with the warm water using a fork.

4. Combine both mixtures to create ooky, gooey slime.

Tips: If your slime starts drying out, just add some more water. Keep it fresh in a zip-lock bag and it should last for two weeks.

What’s the Science?

PVA glue is a water-soluble polymer. Polymers can be a liquid or a solid. When you add the Borax, it links some of the polymers in the glue together so they can slide over each other easily. This is what makes the mixture gloopy and slimy.
